Enjoolata Foundation’s approach to supporting small charities is visionary and HOMELINK has benefitted in so many ways from their involvement, allowing us to widen our remit and address more real issues in and around the Lewes District for which very many individuals and families are most grateful.
We see Enjoolata going above and beyond – they work from the heart with genuine care for our welfare and wellbeing whilst being strongly committed to creating connections with others involved in change-making and together we walk the path of longer term, often ambitious, social change.
The value of being an Enjoolata partner extends so much further than financial support; it is being part of a welcoming, supportive community, a wellbeing-focused team who genuinely want the best for us, and a network of like-minded organisations to inspire, collaborate and strengthen us.
The support we have had from the Enjoolata Foundation has been remarkable. In the early stages of the Pandemic when funding was incredibly difficult for the charity, they stepped in with some much needed support for Patchwork Farm, our therapeutic care farm, which has been a life-saver during the pandemic for our residential young people.
Sewing is a language in itself and new materials and threads enable the voices of our women to be heard as well as providing much needed resources to make pretty clothes and decorate their homes.
The memorial project gives everyone involved, especially those who have been homeless, the opportunity to express their grief and loss. It also gives others who may not have had the same experience some enlightenment as to the lives of those they see in doorways every day. It will ultimately serve as a vehicle for education and understanding.
