Dad La Soul is a multi-award-winning revolutionary, grassroots movement that uses the arts, music, tech and play to tackle social isolation in dads and kids.
They produce kick-ass Saturday morning playdates for dads, stepdads, granddads and male carers who want to hang out with their kids, play/learn/teach new skills and make cool new friends.
They bring them together, challenge conventions, spark conversations and start friendships with dads who might otherwise struggle in silence or isolation.
They have partnered with Sussex Past for July and September to bring you two exciting playdates at two unique locations. In July, we will be hosting our playdate at Lewes Castle, and in September, we will be at Anne of Cleves House across town. Expect all the usual fun and games but in some extraordinary settings!
Here’s what They’re up to:
21st September – Anne of Cleves House
You can expect soft play, crafting, Lego, giant Jenga, and VR headsets to use to explore different places, times, and planets. And, as part of a monthly theme, everything from filmmaking, DJ workshops, circus skills, zombie mask making, den building, science lessons and a whole lot more.
Expect old-school tunes, games, card-making, complimentary tea/coffee and general dad-related daftness.
Bring your favourite toys and games and join the party.
Dad La Soul is a safe space for dads and kids to let off steam, banter, and ask for help.
Suitable for children aged 0-10.
**********PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A GROUP FOR DADS/MALE IDENTIFYING CARERS & KIDS ONLY. NO UNACCOMPANIED CHILDREN/MUMS OR DADS WITHOUT CHILDREN WILL BE ADMITTED*******
