Starting your business in the UK workshop
10am-1pm on Thursday 26 September at the BIPC at Jubilee Library, Brighton.
Are you feeling a bit lost with how to start your business? This workshop will help you to come away with a clear plan.
If you have an idea to explore for a business, or you have already started your early stage business, this workshop is for you.
This session is organised by Brighton Chamber and led by business consultant Sandra Murphy. It’s designed for people with English as an additional language and a translator will be available.
Sandra will talk you through the ten key steps to consider when starting a business including:
· Who is your target market?
· What value will you bring to your target market?
· What motivates your customers to buy from you?
· Standing out from the crowd – what differentiates you from your competitors?
You will also hear from a local accountant who works with small businesses. They will share the essential legal and financial things you need to know about setting up a business in the UK.
There will be time for you to ask your questions.
About your trainer
With many years’ experience of setting up and running businesses, Sandra now works with founders to help them identify ‘bigger picture’ business goals and to put in place the plan for how to get there. She has successfully worked through the difficult times of recession or pandemic and the good times of strong economic growth. She has made – and seen other people make – great decisions and bad ones and is always happy to share the benefit of her learning from these experiences.
