Workshop: Utopia in the Everyday – Finding Joy and Hope in Dark Times…

Join us for an inspiring workshop on Utopia in the Everyday. In a world filled with war, climate crisis, political disconnect, poverty, high living costs, and public health issues, it’s easy to lose hope…

Our participatory workshop, uses creative activities to explore play, collective daydreaming, and untold stories of past and present change. Together, we’ll reimagine utopia as an ongoing process, uncover practical possibilities within our current limitations, and discover how to make both big and small changes in the world. Let’s find joy in this transformative journey and reignite our hope for a better future!

Rather than promoting wishful thinking, we will ask:

  • What real possibilities, artistic and practical, exist within the limitations of our times?
  • Can we enact changes, big or small, instead of just complaining about the current world or dreaming of a better one?
  • How can we find joy in this process to keep us going?

Magnetic Ideals are excited to announce this workshop as part of a free training and skills sessions programme to develop new skills and help build community through creativity and confidence building. The programme is here to help you Reconnect with your life and purpose, and we look forward to sharing this journey with you!

The event is run by Magnetic Ideals and Arts for Life, it is taking place in the Adelaide Room of the Cornerstone Community Centre, which is wheelchair accessible.

If you have any questions about access, please contact heather@magneticideals.org to discuss the possibilities and limitations of the session and the space.
