We’re excited to share some highlights from our recent team outing to Cuckmere Haven for an Enjoolata beach clean. The event was organised and led by the wonderful Thea from the Sussex Dolphin Project, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience for all of us.
The day started with a beautiful drive to Cuckmere Haven, where we were greeted by Thea and a stunning view of the Sussex coastline. As we set out to clean, Thea shared fascinating insights about the local wildlife and the vital ecosystems along our coast. We learned about the incredible diversity of species that call this area home, and the crucial role they play in our environment
One of the most impactful parts of the day was learning about the devastating effects of Super Trawlers, which are as massive as the Newhaven ferry to Dieppe (144 Meters!). These enormous vessels have a significant negative impact on marine life, and it was eye-opening to understand the scale of the problem. It certainly motivated us to put in that extra effort during our clean-up!
Overall, we had a fantastic time and left feeling more connected to our environment and each other. We’re already looking forward to our next adventure and continuing to make a positive impact.
We did encounter a few minor hiccups – a bit of sunburn here and there, and yes, there was a dirty nappy situation! But honestly, it didn’t dampen our spirits at all. We had so much fun, and it felt great to contribute to such a worthy cause.

Stay tuned for more updates from our team!
