Congratulations Pedal People!

We’ve got some amazing news to share – Pedal People has won the King’s Award for Voluntary Service! 🎉 If you don’t know them, they’re an incredible Brighton-based charity running accessible cycle rides for elders in care and people of all ages with disabilities or health needs. For so many participants, these rides are their only chance to get outside and enjoy some fresh air and adventure.

Lulu and Jo were lucky enough to join them for a ride recently, and it was absolutely brilliant. Cycling with their big, eye-catching trikes, they got to explore Brighton’s seafront. The joy on everyone’s faces was so uplifting, riders, volunteers, and even passersby who couldn’t help but smile and wave as we rolled by. It’s not just about the ride; it’s about connection, freedom, and a chance to feel alive.

This award couldn’t be more well-deserved. With just 2 staff members and 44 incredible volunteers, Pedal People somehow make over 4,000 rides happen every year. Their work transforms lives – boosting confidence, independence, and well-being while bringing people together in such a special way.

A massive congratulations to them for this amazing achievement! If you ever have the chance, go see them in action, or, even better, hop on one of their trikes and experience the magic yourself. You won’t regret it.

Catch you soon! 🚴‍♀️💙
